This department concentrates on teaching and research in areas of working life, trade unionism and collective bargaining, social policy and income policies by using analytical tools from economics, politics, sociology and law.
Graduates of the department pursue careers in various public agencies which regulate industrial relations and which try to solve problems related to social security. There are also employment opportunities for graduates in the fields of human resource management, trade unionism and collective bargaining.
The department runs a four-year degree program in Labour Economics and Industrial Relations. In addition, it offers, under the direction of the Institute of Social Sciences, MA and Ph.D. degrees.
