Econometrics is a method of research which combines the conceptual tools of economic theory, mathematical economics and statistics. Graduates of The Department of Econometrics are equipped with mathematical techniques to analyze economic phenomena quantitatively. Because of their quantitative and analytical skills, which are given for the application to macro and micro level of economics and firms as well for the public and private agencies, the demand for econometrics graduates are buoyant. Many econometricians proceed to financial institutions as a result of their donations. Some work in The State Institute of Statistics and The State Planning Organization.
